Our History

Winn Croucher Partners Pty Ltd was founded in 1992 by Peter Winn and Paul Croucher to provide tax, audit, and accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses and private investors.

Our Directors

Peter Winn

Peter graduated from The Australian National University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Economics degree, specialising in accounting. He began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG), where he worked in the audit sector for four years, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1984.

In 1986, Peter established his own practice in North Sydney, further obtaining qualifications as a Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor. Additionally, he serves as a Justice of the Peace for the State of New South Wales. Peter specialises in taxation, accounting, and structural advisory services for a diverse range of small business and private investor clients.

Kevin Lai

Kevin was appointed Director in 2012 after dedicating 11 years to Winn Croucher Partners Pty Ltd. He graduated from UTS in 2001 with a combined degree in Business (Accounting and Tourism) and Arts in International Studies (Chinese Language and Culture). He furthered his education by completing the Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accountants program and a Master of Applied Taxation at UNSW. Kevin became a Chartered Accountant in 2006 and achieved the CA SMSF Specialist designation in December 2010. He completed a Diploma in Financial Planning, obtained a limited AFS licence and fulfilled education requirements for existing financial advisers to continue to provide financial advice to our SMSF clients/ Kevin brings extensive experience and technical expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial advice to the firm, with a strong focus on SMSF, business and structural advisory services.

Melissa Lee

Melissa joined Winn Croucher Partners in 2007 after graduating with double degrees from Macquarie University in Applied Finance and Commerce (Accounting). Melissa qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010 Melissa has developed extensive skills in audit, tax, and accounting. Her particular specialties include advising and assisting small businesses with their compliance and accounting strategies. Away from the office, she enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Linda Ta

Linda joined Winn Croucher Partners in 2007 after completing her Bachelor degree in Business and Commerce at the University of Western Sydney. She subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012.

Linda is an experienced ATO negotiator and tax adviser, carefully guiding clients with tax planning and accounting solutions. In her leisure time, Linda enjoys travelling, aiming to travel at least once a year. She also appreciates spending time with her family and taking care of her adorable nieces and nephew.

Melissa and Linda were appointed directors in 2023 after dedicating 16 years of service to Winn Croucher Partners Pty Ltd, and both brought a new wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm.

Our Consultant
Paul Croucher

Paul graduated from Sydney University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Economics degree specialising in accounting and became a Chartered Accountant in 1985. In 1990, Paul joined Peter in another practice before co-founding Winn Croucher Partners in 1992. With over 40 years of professional experience, Paul spent seven years at KPMG in Australia and the UK, focusing on audit and consultancy services.

Now semi-retired, Paul continues to contribute to the firm as a senior consultant on a part-time basis.

This includes preparing financial statements, tax returns, and conducting audits. We strive to complete these tasks efficiently and effectively. Beyond compliance, we take a holistic approach to assist both business and personal clients in maximizing wealth creation and protection.
